This is where we learn,
where we grow,
where we become ourselves.

The whole point of life, if any, is this process.

First breathe, first steps, first words..

We are always on our way.

To get there, to get somewhere.

But fulfillment isn’t about crossing the finish line.

Fulfillment is the love and joy you feel for simply being on your way.

You don’t even have to succeed.

And there is no finish line.

This above, is how I feel about Reconnect.

If you resonate with the meaning behind my words above, you may understand that building this eco-resort, is not about building an eco-resort.

It’s about expressing myself in this world, in a such a way that some people can live within, experience from, and interact with.

This place is both the product of everything I learned for the past 28 years, and the reflection of everything I don’t know yet.

When I look at it, I don’t only see a nice sunset view from the bed, and cute glamping tents.

I see the whole path and transformations I went through during the past 12 months.

Following this (somewhat insane) path of building an eco-resort on a remote desert island from scratch, is the most difficult thing I have ever done.

Crossing 20 countries through 12,000km on a bicycle was nothing compared to what I am given a chance to live here, in the middle of nowhere.

If you read this far, and if you could remember one thing, it could be this:

“Stop caring about the results you get.
Start caring about the person you become.”
