This is Zaza, and she loves Ladiina‘s pancakes. That was her face after she got an extra one with maple syrup.
Her mom is my age, and after I spent hours playing with her girls at the villa, she said I was so good with kids, that she was surprised I still don’t have any.
Then it made me thoughts, about choices and consequences.
I used to tell everyone I would never have kids, and I was probably still keep a lot of anger toward my parents from divorcing when I became a teenager.
But I do love kids.
And I now know that I will make some (or adopt) one day, if I find the right person to raise them with.
Kids are one of the most fascinating form of life on the planet.
And they are the future of our specie.
I love how time spent playing and sharing with kids never feels wasted.
At a period of my life where I juggle with a ton of “adult things”, such as deadlines, contracts, investment, workers, marketing, etc. It felt needed to remember that all of this only matters under certain circumstances.
Taking some time off and being 5 years old again while running around in the garden is part of the balance I seem to need to keep going forward.
It was really fun to have kids around at the Business Brunch at Hustlers Villa today, and helped me refocus on a few things.
Kids have a lot to teach us, if we know how to look at them.
Happy Sunday!
