Kids often have this grand idea in their mind: “Later, I want to change the World.”

This is until they learn from their parents that adult life is about boring responsibilities, working every day, paying taxes, making kids, and teaching them they won’t ever change the World.

This is what life is all about.

Or is it?

Changing the World seems like a life long mission,
that only some super heroes with super powers could handle.

So we accept our fate.

We complain about the bad things happening all around,
and we criticise those who try to make a change.

Of course, we do it from our couch, during the commercial break of our favourite brainless TV show.

Or do we?

Living life on autopilot seems to be the norm.

Voting for whoever wash our brain the most,
buying what marketers tell us to buy,
pretending to be alive and to be happy,
drinking to forget we are lying,

and waking up the day after, to make the money we need to keep the wheel of boredom spinning.

Because anyway, what could we do…

We can’t change the World.

Or can’t we?

You don’t need to change the whole World, to make a change, and improve it.

But what you need to do is to stop for a second,
and switch your shot of vodka, for a shot of reality.

Realise that you don’t have to spin the wheel.
The wheel only exists if you allow it to.

Take a breath and look at the bars of the cage.
You can’t break them, but you can go through them.

They are made of your own limiting thoughts.

Walk away from what holds you back.

What’s good and bad in this World,
is only the product of how good or bad each one of us is.

You said you wanted to change the World?

So start with changing yourself.

Be part of what’s good in this World,
Have faith in what we can all achieve,
Quit complaining, and start doing,

You alone, won’t make the whole World a better place.
But you alone, can decide to make yourself better, in this World.

And the more you do it, the more others will follow you.

Not because you tell them to,
but because you become an example of what can be achieved.

That’s how you can change the World:

Start with yourself.
